Alhajie Sallieu Kanu
Alhaji Sallieu Kanu is the Senior Program Manager of The Association of Language and Literacy Educators Reading Sierra Leone. He holds a Doctorate Degree in Education (Applied Linguistics and Literature) at the Atlantic International University in the School of Social and Human Studies in the City of Honolulu, State of Hawaii, USA, (2020).
He also holds a Master of Arts Degree with Education in Descriptive and Applied Linguistics -Njala University (2003-2004), a Bachelor of. Arts with (Hons) in Linguistics –Fourah Bay College –University of Sierra Leone (1994-2000). In (2000) he completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Education -Fourah Bay College (USL) and passed with Distinction, in Theory, He also holds a Higher Teachers Certificate Primary (HTCP)-Nursery and Infant Education (Early Grade) (1988-1991) at the PortLoko Teachers College. He is a Qualified Lead Trainer in Quality Literacy Pedagogies in the Upper Grades-Completed 160 Hours of Preparation in the Reading Sierra Leone 2020 Program-Certified by CODE Canada.
Alhaji Sallieu Kanu is a seasoned teacher and senior lecturer at the Milton Margai College of Education and Technology. He has served as Project implementing lead, consultant, Teaching of Reading Vocal Person, and Teacher Training Specialist in several Education projects. He is also an Examiner for the Sierra Leonean Languages and Religious Moral Education for the National Council for Technical, Vocational, and Other Academic Awards. (NCTVA) . He is currently the program Implementing Lead for CODE, Canada supported: Transforming Girls Education Project (TGEP) and Distance Learning in Crisis Phase Two Project Implemented in Sierra Leone.
He has wealth of experience in supporting the promotion of sustainable quality educational programming.
