THE CALL FOR PURSUING CREDIBLE PARTNERSHIPS FOR QUALITY DELIVERY
Our (TALLE-RSL) resolve to pursue the expansion of the Partnership Network led to the establishment of contact with the Forum for African Women Educationalists-Sierra Leone (FAWE-SL). We met with FAWE at their head office, 4 Hill Street, Freetown. We successfully shared Project Files and Achievement Makers in promoting sustainable quality Education in Sierra Leone. Matters, arising from the deliberation concluded with the recognition of having many identical organisational features and a focus worthy of building Collaboration that hinges on a strong Partnership for the well-being of both organizations.
The management of FAWE-SL and TALLE-RSL resolved to pursue strong Collaboration within the Partnership context to improve quality delivery in project implementation. The team succeeded in Mapping ways for collaboration as follows:
• Internal Capacity building of staff
• Research
• Assessment
• Teacher Training
• Promoting Classroom Pupil-Centered Methodologies
• Production and Use of teaching and learning materials to support GRP and literacy instruction
• Preparing and using lesson Plans
• Sustainability and mobilization
Overall, the team concluded by setting up achievable Action Plans:
• The development of Partnership Agreement and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) documents to strengthen the collaboration
• FAWE to develop a draft Partnership Agreement and share it with TALLE-RSL for review
• TALLE-RSL To draft MOU and share with FAWE for review.
Both Organisations agreed to work on drafting the MOU and Partnership Agreement for team review on Tuesday 19th March, 2024.
The meeting successfully ended with members exchanging pleasantries and commendations for the successful outcomes of the sessions of the meeting. The FAWE-SL Chairperson Madam Fullah, Joseph Kamara Program Manager, TALLE-RSL Executive Director Aske Bee Gbla and Senior Program Manager Hajj Kanu made closing remarks. FAWE-SL Chairperson presented the FAWE 5 years Strategic Plan to TALLE-RSL’s Executive Director as a professional gesture of appreciation and demonstration of preparedness to Partner and work with TALLE-RSL in promoting sustainable Inclusive Gender-Responsive Education for quality learning outcomes among girls and boys in Sierra Leone. TALLE-RSL reciprocated by noting that partnering with FAWE-SL has unveiled a formidable path in professional traversing to support the transformative process of Education in Sierra Leone. And Together we will make it work for the benefit of every Sierra Leonean teacher and pupil.
