THE TALLE-RSL TEAM MEETS WITH THE DEPUTY MINISTER OF EDUCATION OF #MBSSE, MADAM Emily Gogra

WE, THE TALLE-RSL MANAGEMENT, MEETS THE DEPUTY MINISTER OF EDUCATION #MBSSE, MADAM Emily K. Gogra, TO SHARE UPDATES ON OUR PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY IN SUPPORTING THE EDUCATION TRANSFORMATION IN SIERRA LEONE.
The May 17th 2023, meeting with the MBSSE Deputy Minister1, Madam Emily K. Gogra, was related to the TALLE-RSL’s VISION of giving Education Stakeholders an Account for its commitment to promote the #TEACHING_FOR_LEARNING Culture among Teacher Educators, Teachers and Pupils in Sierra Leone. It created the context for us to share and discuss #TALLE_RSL‘s efforts in working with Education stakeholders to bolster Education transformation in Sierra Leone. We shared with the Minister a comprehensive overview of our professional experiences in Partnership with #CODE Canada to implement the Transforming Girls Education Project (TGEP) and the Teaching and Learning in Fragile Contexts (TLFC) projects which aim to complement the government of Sierra Leone’s endeavour to foster sustainable and high-quality education for all citizens.
Our discussion recognised that #CODE Canada’s Partnership had provided the professional context for #TALLE_RSL to collaborate with the Ministries of Education #MBSSE and #MTHE to implement project activities as planned. We successfully shared our accomplishments and the obstacles we have been confronting in implementing the TGEP and TLFC projects. We further discussed how we responded to the challenges to ensure that the implementation remained within the project’s Theory of Change (ToC) path. The MBSSE Deputy Minister acknowledged our update and further commended our passion and expertise in promoting foundational and upper-grade literacy and gender-inclusive education in Sierra. She noted to translate such impressive impacts of our updates to the MBSSE Minister and other senior professional heads of the ministry.
The meeting concluded with both parties (TALLE-RSL and MBSSE) committing to continue collaborating towards enhancing the quality and sustainable transformation of Education in Sierra Leone.
